ahhh twilight, sweet sweet twilight….

Here are FAQ about the book series Twilight. I found them while searching during the internet. Most of them were answered by Stepheneie Meyer. It’s quite interesting.
General FAQ
What exactly happened the first time that Edward kissed Bella?
I get this a lot. To understand, you have to put yourselves in Edward’s shoes. Okay, so you’ve never kissed anyone in a hundred years. Now you really want to kiss this girl, but you’re terrified that if you get too close to her, instinct will take over and you will crush your teeth through her jugular vein, and probably break her neck in the process. So you’re being very, very cautious about every move you make. You expect this girl–who knows that you are a vampire, for crying out loud–to be just as careful. Actually, you’re expecting her to be terrified to be so close to your teeth. You’re expecting her to maybe pull away, or at least to freeze in place. You touch your lips to hers–and hers are all warm, which doesn’t help you as you try to concentrate on anything other than her blood–and suddenly, she locks her fingers in your hair, trying to pull you closer, blood rushes to her face (you can smell and feel that), and her lips encourage yours to open… Of course you panic. Your reflexes are all demanding that you bite. The best you can do is freeze and try to get some space before you kill her.
Can vampires have babies/what happens when a woman is pregnant and gets changed?
No. Stephanie has answered this multiple times alongside the period question. A vampire’s only bodily fluid is its’ venom and it creates spit/eye juice to keep things lubricated and working properly, thus, vampires have no sperm, so they cannot make vampire babies. Also, when a vampire is changed, they stay the same way forever. Frozen. If a woman is pregnant, she will remain pregnant forever. This also explains Alice’s hair. It was short from being in an asylum and it was just growing out when she was changed. If you have long hair, and you are changed then you cut that hair, it will not grow back. If you have split ends, tough luck.
What happens when Bella gets her period?
This has been addressed by Stephenie Meyer. She states that this is “dead blood” and isn’t as potent to Edward, though it is a bit uncomfortable for him. He’s too much of a gentleman to say anything about it anyway.
Does Bella ingest the vemon when she kisses Edward?
Their kisses are faily chaste. Nothing much. Edward is extremely careful not to cut Bella with his teeth or the venom would get in. “Vampires could bite through steel if they should choose to do so.”
Edward and Bella do not open-mouth, or “French” kiss. Just regular lip-to-lip kissing.
Stephenie Meyer also answered this question and clearly stated that the venom has no effect on the human body unless it gets into the bloodstream. She wouldn’t feel it if she swallowed some, and it wouldn’t effect her digestion, either.
How do you pronounce their names?
Esme ~ EZ – may/mee (right in the middle of the two sounds); Carlisle ~ car-lyle; Cullen ~ kull-en; Rosalie ~ rose-uh-lee; Quileute-Quil-yute
What are the meanings of the covers?
The Apple Cover (Twilight) : Temptation, the forbidden fruit. The fruit of Good and Evil. She starts Twilight with a quote from the Bible. The Bloody Tulip Cover (New Moon) : It is actually called a crying tulip which is suppose to show Bella’s emotions. The Broken Ribbon Cover (Eclipse) : Choosing sides, forced choices, on one thread, breaking, etc.
Also, Stephenie has said herself that the cover of New Moon was not supposed to hold any significance. And, the cover of Eclipse also means that there wasn’t a clean break (strands still holding the ribbon together).
Why did you pick the title Twilight?
Twilight was not the easiest book to title. When I started sending out queries, I called it Forks for lack of a better idea. The first thing my agent advised me was that the title was going to have to change. We played around with a lot of different titles, and nothing seemed to convey the right feel. We brainstormed through emails for about a week. The word twilight was on a list of “words with atmosphere” that I sent her. Though these words were meant to be used in combination with something else, the word twilight stood out to both of us. We decided to try it out, and, after a little adjustment time, it started to work for both of us. It isn’t absolutely perfect; to be honest, I don’t think there is a perfect title for this book (or if there is, I’ve never heard it).
